Going on holiday this summer? keep your hair extensions looking fab by following those few steps! Going for a swim’ brush your hair then put them in a braid a ponytail. Rinse your hair under the shower first before going into the water!

After swimming
Rinse your hair well then remove the braids shampoo backwards two times then add good conditioner or hair masque leave on for 5 minutes rinse thoroughly backwards.

Squeeze the water out and wrap hair in towel for 10 minutes for the towel to sock out any remaining water. Comb your hair by small section at a time, hold the top part firmly and start combing from the ends.

Spray some leave in conditioner and some hair serum.  Best way is to let the hair dry nationally so that the hair  doesn’t dry out. Or you can roughly dry with hair dryer then style as you wish!

Before Washing Your Hair Extensions

 Hair maintenance

Before washing your hair it is most important that you brush your hair first. This also includes swimming or anything to do with water and your hair extensions. With a Professional Extension brush. If you forget to brush your hair before washing…you are potentially putting water into a knot. By the time you get to combing your wet hair you will notice it can be impossible to get the knots out. As always, brushing starts from the bottom up. If you start any higher in your head you will just be brushing more hair into a previously started knot. As your hair grows brushing will be an important part of your maintenance. If you don’t brush at least 2 times per day you will notice matting etc. If you don’t want dreads to start or if you want to minimize breakage this step is imperative.
